Saidia is the ideal departure point to visit the region and allows many nature and cultural excursions. Not to mention the whole range of sporting activities available…
Would you like to go to the edge of the desert? Then head south-east to discover another place of beauty: the Figuig oasis. Closer by, dead west, towards the Beni Snassen mountains, a piece of heaven on earth awaits you, with its luxuriant cool forests. Then suddenly, the Zegzel valley comes into view, just a few minutes from the village of Tafoughalt. You can explore the pigeon's cave, also called the camel's cave. Man's presence there dates back 100,000 years, as demonstrated by numerous carved stone objects and bone remains.
A curiosity of the region: the Sidi Yahya oasis has retained its peaceful charm despite the extension of the town of Oujda. It is home to the tomb of a man recognised as being a saint by the three monotheistic religions. On returning to Saidia, discover the Ras El Ma beach, which is well sheltered from the wind and decorated with eucalyptus trees. It is a pleasant and endearing place.
Saidia has a superb 18-hole golf course that offers a splendid and relaxing view from the adjacent residences and hotels. Other greens will be added soon. To give a cultural aspect to your holiday, and develop your contact with the Moroccan identity, don't miss the regional festivals: popular arts in Saidia itself, Gharnatian or rai music in Oujda.
The Saidia area offers protected moorings to be able to drop anchor and discover attractive bays and inaccessible beaches. For diving fans, there are several quality dive areas, for divers of all abilities. For fishing fans, both surface and bottom fishermen, Saidia is also a small paradise.
Don't limit yourself to Saidia's magnificent beach: take advantage of the whole region, its surprising landscapes, its culture and its all-new 18-hole golf course.
