This unique event invites athletes to run to raise awareness and promote tolerance. This means that all runners – amateursand professionals – werewelcome to participate on March 05, 2017.
The marathoners came to run on a flat route in downtown Rabat. What better way to tour the city and discover the symbolic monuments of Rabat? The route is also one of the fastest in the world and records were set at the second edition of the Rabat International Marathon. First, Sammy Kigen beat the men's world record for marathon with a time of 2:09:23. The second record was set by Pamela Rotich, who finished in 2:28:06. A half-marathon is also offered, which is where Titahum turned in the best time with 1:09:39. It goes without saying that the Rabat International Marathon is a full-fledged sporting event where the runners push their limits and tackle new challenges.
